Muay Thai is Thailand's national sport and one of the most complete striking arts in the world. It uses fists, elbows, knees, and shins — which is why it's called "the art of eight limbs." It's the foundation of striking in MMA. You don't need a background in martial arts to start — most people who train here had never thrown a punch before their first class.
Kru Claudiu holds a certified Kru ranking under the Kru Muay Thai Association in Bangkok — one of the few verifiable Thailand-issued credentials in South Texas. You can confirm it at krumuaythai.or.th/member/KMA001340. He has been training since 2012 and opened Laguna Muay Thai in September 2025 — the first dedicated Muay Thai gym on the Laguna Madre coast.
